The Tyumen region was ranked third in the National Investment Climate Rating among other Russian regions. The city of Moscow ranks first and the Republic of Tatarstan ranks second. The results of the rating were announced on June 7 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Export of the Tyumen region’s products to China grew by 30% last year (compared to 2017), reported Alexander Moor, the Governor of the Tyumen region during the Ural - Ching-ling Forum on Economic Cooperation, which takes place as a part of the 4th International Silk Road EXPO in the Chinese city of Xi'an.
When welcoming the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austria in the Russian Federation Johannes Eigner, who came to the Tyumen region for the first time, the Governor noted that it was eleven years ago when Austrian partners visited Tyumen last time. The Region has dramatically changed over those years.
