SIBUR and the Tyumen region complemented the existing cooperation agreement by a road map aimed at the extension of the use of production and technologies of the Tyumen region enterprises for the needs of SIBUR. The document was signed at Tyumen Oil & Gas Forum.
The road map includes activities on cooperation, terms and tools of their implementation. The implementation of the project will help to increase manufacturing of products for petrochemical industry by the enterprises of the Tyumen region, to raise their scientific, technical and constructive capacity. The project will be carried out from 2017 to 2019.
Governor of the Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev noted that SIBUR is a strategic partner of the region which makes an invaluable contribution to the development of the Tyumen economy. “We discussed the opportunities for the expansion of our cooperation and these opportunities were reflected in the road map, we will move forward together in accordance with this document” - Vladimir Yakushev summed up.
“The Tyumen region is one of the key regions for SIBUR activities. Aside from the existing productions which belong to the Tobolsk industrial location, the company implements here a large-scale project “Zapsibneftehim”. We are interested in the participation of suppliers from Tyumen in SIBUR investment projects and in providing the existing productions with technologies and materials. The signing of the road map will help to use innovative Russian technologies and speed up the terms of equipment delivery which comply with high standards of the company” - President of SIBUR Dmitry Konov commented.
