On 26 October, Governor of the Tyumen Region, Vladimir Yakushev, held a meeting with representatives of CEFC Chinese company. He thanked the Chinese colleagues for their attention to the Region and submitted offers that may be of interest to both parties.
Zhang Xin, CEO of CEFC, noted that their company is focused on establishing global cooperation in the energy and financial sectors, with the regions and states along the Silk Road being the priority.
During their first introductory meeting, the parties outlined possible areas of mutually beneficial partnership. Representatives of the Chinese company expressed their interest in the logistics, energy, and food sectors, as well as e-commerce.
The program of the visit of the Chinese delegation was rather busy, including a tour of the West Siberian Innovation Center, industrial parks and Ishimsky Agroindustrial Park in particular, introduction to some IT projects, a visit to Tyumen Industrial Hub, including UGMK Stal Plant, Schlumberger, Bentec, Fatum, Antipinsky Refinery, Baker Hughes plant. In addition, the delegation visited the KNAUF Insulation plant, Tyumen Plywood Plant, and the logistic center of X5 Retail Group. The visitors shared their impressions on their tour, as well as their proposals concerning development of cooperation, and expressed their desire to establish a long-lasting partnership to drive joint projects in future.
