At the instruction of the Governor Vladimir Yakushev, the following export areas are defined for the region: wood and chemistry industry (production of goods using synthetic materials), food industry and agricultural products, petroleum engineering. In 2017, the road maps were developed for bringing the enterprises to the foreign market: marketing research was conducted, economical calculations were made, international contacts were established, necessary documents were prepared etc. 189 road maps were developed for three sectors (wood, food/agriculture and synthetic material goods industry) covering 27 commodity items in the context of seven countries. The materials of research conducted in 2016 are also available for entrepreneurs, covering such commodities as peat, sapropel and betulin. According to the Governor of Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev, the industry becomes competitive, if more companies are working for export. “It is not enough to only finance construction of new enterprises, solve technological problems of existing industries and train staff; the manufactured goods also have to be sold with maximum efficiency. So a new challenge came to the fore in the recent years and it is the marketing of products. That's why we pay much attention to promotion and sales of goods produced by the Tyumen enterprises in our regional programs for the development of industrial capacity.
In 2018, a number of activities are planned in the Tyumen region, aimed at promotion of goods produced by the Tyumen enterprises at the foreign markets, for instance: development of new road maps for entrepreneurs, opening forums/conferences involving experts in the field of Foreign Economic Activities, organization of business missions, participation in international forums. Export activity training for entrepreneurs shall continue. The annual contest “Best exporter of the Tyumen region” is planned to encourage active exporters.
In January 2018, an agreement is signed with Russian Export Center JSC, enabling the status of partner point of presence for REC Group in the Tyumen Region. The creation of this system is the next stage of work on implementation of regional priority project “International cooperation and export”. In the framework of agreements the partner organization shall inform regional entrepreneurs about measures of support REC Group offers in terms of non-primary exports and it shall assist in obtaining the services of the Center and participation in joint events aimed at promotion of export activities in the region. In total, REC offers about a hundred forms of support for exporters, including among the most popular the compensation of certification expenses, international patenting, transporting the goods abroad. Currently active measures of support for exporter entrepreneurs are publicly available at www.tyumen-region.ru.
We'd like to note that the Export support center of the Tyumen region Investment Agency is listed among the top 15 in Russia.
