LetoLeto water park was opened in the Tyumen region

LetoLeto water park was opened in Tyumen. Its construction serves as another confirmation of the correctness of regional policy on creation of favorable investment climate in all sectors of the economy. Alexander Moor, interim Governor of the Tyumen region, spoke about this at the opening ceremony of the first phase of the water park project.

“Water park LetoLeto is a very beautiful facility that is useful to both the city and the region. I'm sure it will become one of the favorite family recreation places for Tyumen residents and visitors of the regional capital; it will become a point of attraction for tourists from other regions of the country. The Government of the Tyumen region creates comfortable conditions for investors in all sectors of our economy. Creation of the water park is a confirmation of correctness of such a strategy”, emphasized the interim head of the region, thanking the investor and the builders for such a gift to the city.

“Implementation of the investment project for construction of the LetoLeto water park started in 2015 with the support of Sberbank of Russia. Before the start of construction, a dam was constructed at the Tura river bank, 1 kilometer 200 meters in length; it protects the territory from floods. More than 150 contractor companies were involved in the construction; three quarters of them are the Tyumen ones. About six thousand people were employed at the construction site. Total investment volume was 3.5 billion Rubles for the first phase of the project. About 400 jobs for Tyumen residents are already created in the water park. Thanks to the credit line opened by Sberbank, we are planning to additionally invest over 1 billion Rubles to the second phase of construction”, said Vladimir Shevchik, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sibintel-holding Company.

According to him, the total length of the slides in the LetoLeto water park is about 1.5 thousand meters with the height of the most extreme reaching 21 meters. The water park also features a wave pool, a children's area and a bistro. A four-star hotel with a gourmet restaurant is located nearby. Vladimir Shevchik emphasized that both the hotel and the water park are completely adapted for people with disabilities.

Sergey Korepanov, Chairman of the Tyumen regional Duma, is confident that the opening of the water park shall make the Tyumen residents' life even more comfortable. “Even before, Tyumen was one of the leaders in the quality of life among Russian cities. I have no doubt that the water park will become a tourist brand and the hallmark of the regional capital”, said the speaker of the regional legislative assembly.
