Industry shows signs of growth in the Tyumen region

The industrial production index of the Tyumen region for this March reached 108.1% compared to the same period of last year. According to Tyumenstat, good results were observed for manufacturing industries with their index reaching 109.6%. Mineral production index increased, reaching 104.5%. It also increased in the field of provision of services associated with mineral production, reaching 120.9%.

The largest growth was observed in the manufacture of: medical instruments and equipment (197.5%); computers, electronic and optical products (144.3%); cast iron, steel and ferrous alloys (144.2%); general-purpose machinery and equipment (140.6%); electric motors, generators, transformers, switchgears and instrumentation equipment (130.5%); rubber and plastic products (129%); refractory products (136.3%); glass and glass products (113.4%); coke and petroleum products (117%).

The index of food products production is 103.5%. In this sector, the highest growth was observed in production of flour and cereal products, starch and starchy products (115.9%); fruit and vegetable processing and preservation (109.5%); dairy products (108.6%).

Production index for power, gas and steam supply from the beginning of the current year was 106.5% compared to the same period of last year; production index for water supply, water drainage, garbage collection, garbage disposal and remediation was 111.5% for the same period.

“It was our active investment policy that secured the leading position of the region in the National rating of investment climate. This year, investments continue to grow steadily. More than 70% of them are directed to the manufacturing sector, resulting in stable industrial growth. It is imperative that we continue all these positive trends both in the economy and the social sphere,” noted Alexander Moor, interim Governor of the Tyumen region.
