Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation summed up the results of its study of the quality of life in the cities of Russia. Tyumen won the first place by the final index. The top ten cities with the highest quality of life also include Grozny, Moscow, Kazan, Sochi, Ekaterinburg, Saint Petersburg, Cherepovets, Tula and Surgut.
The assessment is based on the results of sociological research conducted in 2018 in 78 cities with a population of over 250 thousand people. The research considered such indicators as the quality of medical care, the condition of road infrastructure, the development of culture and education, the state of the housing and utilities sector and the volume of residential construction. In addition, the experts considered the work of city authorities, the assessment of income level by the population, the comfort level of the city, as well as the migration trends.
