The 6th China-Russia Expo is held in Harbin from June 15 to June 19, 2019 under the motto “China-Russia Interregional Cooperation: Prospects, Potential, Future”. Delegation of the Tyumen region participated in Expo business agenda and presented its investment, export, education & research and touristic potential at its own booth.
Representatives of the Tyumen region's authorities and institutions for business support, as well as such Tyumen companies as Zavodoukovsky Butter Plant, Petroleum Energy and Zhizn were members of the delegation.
The key event was the Second China-Russia Forum for Interregional Cooperation. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Maxim Akimov and Vice President of the People's Republic of China Wang Qishan opened the exhibition pavilion of the 6th China-Russia Expo in a solemn ceremony, followed by Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov's visit to the Tyumen region's booth.
Tyumen entrepreneurs presented their products and services and held a series of negotiations with potential partners. Sampling area, where visitors could taste food products of the Tyumen region, was extremely popular. The region's delegation participated in the forum’s full session, B2B meetings, as well as a session on e-trade, attended by A.A. Slepnev, CEO of the Russian Export Centre JSC. A business meeting with Harbin companies and a presentation of trade & economic and investment potential of the Tyumen region were organized along with the Chinese partners.
The Chinese economy has been growing steadily over the past 30 years and is now one of the world's leading economies. The delegation of the Tyumen region believes that such business visits are highly beneficial, first of all for skill-sharing, increase of bilateral trade and joint projects implementation.
Two international documents were signed by the Tyumen Industrial University during the round-table conference on Scientific and Technical Cooperation and Know-How Transfer on Expo’s final day. These documents, the Cooperation Agreement with Harbin Institute of Petroleum and the Letter of Interest with Harbin Engineering University, were signed in the presence of First Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation G.V. Trubnikov.
The 6th China-Russia Expo is held in the year of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of China and Russia diplomatic relations and as a part of the Years of China-Russia Interregional Cooperation.
Official delegations of all regions of the Ural federal district took part in the Expo. The delegation was led by V.P. Dubenetsky, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District.
