In 2018, 66 export contracts were concluded by small and medium-sized enterprises in the Tyumen Region to be assisted by the regional export support center. There were held fourteen business missions and twelve international exhibitions as well as the permanent exhibition of the Tyumen products was organized in Shanghai (China).
In 2018, volumes of supplies of machinery, equipment and vehicles increased by 93%, chemical industry products and rubber – by 33%, and fuel and energy products – by 26%. The number of exporters increased, and volumes of non-resource exports amounted to 1 billion 225.7 million dollars.
The main export deliveries were made to 90 neighboring and distant countries such as the Netherlands, France, Great Britain, Sweden, Poland, Belgium, Finland, Germany, the Republic of Belarus, the USA and Latvia.
According to the Ural Customs Administration, in January-May 2019, the foreign trade turnover including data on mutual trade with the EEU countries amounted to $1,645.7 million (exports – $1,127.5 million and imports – $518.2 million). The foreign trade surplus amounted to $609.3 million.
The Governor Alexander Moor is convinced that the increase in the number of enterprises, which sell its products in foreign markets, serves as a proof of improving business competitiveness. In his opinion, the development of this area is one of the priorities of the region.
