More than 50 representatives of 34 federal, regional, city and municipal media and bloggers participate in a press-conference dedicated to the region’s anniversary.
Alexander Moor emphasizes that the Tyumen region approaches its milestone 75th anniversary with great achievements.
The share of industry in the region’s economy exceeds 30%, albeit only ten years ago it was less than 10%.
In 2018, 28 new industrial production enterprises were launched in Tyumen, Tobolsk and Uvat, as well as in other districts of the region. Thousands of new workplaces were created in the region.
As for industrial production growth rate over the past five years, the Tyumen region (excluding autonomous areas) ranks 9th among the Russian regions.
‘Active investment strategy allowed the region to lead the National Investment Climate Rating in 2018. This year the region retained its position in top 3 (among Moscow and the Republic of Tatarstan) despite the growing competition. We lacked 1 point to remain the first in the rating. The region remains the leader in investment environment in the Ural Federal District’, commented the Governor.
As for industrial production growth rate in 2018, the Tyumen region (excluding autonomous areas) ranks 7th among the Russian regions. In 2019 industrial production continues growing.
Economic development enables us to solve a number of socially related issues, stressed the Governor. Over many years the quality of roads in Tyumen is highly estimated by various reputed ratings. According to the comprehensive rating of social and economic situation of the Russian regions, the last year the Tyumen region climbed two positions, occupying the 8th place (following Moscow and Saint Petersburg, Khanty-Mansi autonomous area - Yugra, the Moscow region, the Republic of Tatarstan, Yamalo-Nenets autonomous area, and the Sverdlovsk region).
In the rating of the level of cooperation in creating a competitive environment, the Tyumen region ranks among top 10; in the final ‘Digital Russia’ rating the region ranks 5th.
The region moved from the 31st to the 7th place in the rating of tourism development, entering top 10 of the Russian regions with rapid development of touristic attractiveness.
