The agricultural company “Sibir” located in Sloboda-Beshkil village of the Iset district plans to export rape and flax seeds to China. Alexander Moor, the Governor of the Tyumen Region, highly praised the company’s export capacity during his visit to this district.
“Sibir” is already supplying oilseed crops to China. The crop-growing company is rapidly developing: in 2018 its cropland area was 460 hectares, whereas in 2019 it has reached 1,289 hectares.
The agricultural company successfully implements the investment project on the construction of the drying and sorting facility. A grain-dryer which capacity is 30 tons per hour has been installed at the facility. There is also an operating line for sorting and packaging oilseed crops at the facility. Such products are in great demand in China, as Sergey Ivashchenko, the company’s director, explained to the Governor. Therefore, there are plans to expand exports.
“We face a very challenging task of increasing exports of agricultural products. That is why it is necessary to expand the positive experience gained by “Sibir” in this area. Exporting isn’t an easy thing, in particular for companies, which have never had such an experience. Although to develop production with focus on the domestic market is not the best strategy nowadays,” noted the Governor. The regional government is willing to provide not only financial but also administrative and educational support to entrepreneurs to promote exports of Tyumen products to international markets. To reach the goal the proper infrastructure has been created in the Tyumen Region.
