On November 27, Tyumen will host an international scientific and practical conference “The Arctic Region: Modern approaches to industrial and environmental safety in the oil and gas sector”.
The topical issues with respect to occupational, environmental and industrial safety in the northern latitudes will be discussed at the event.
Representatives of the Russian business companies, leading production enterprises operating in the fuel and energy sector, French and Japanese international companies, leading scientists, experts in the field of occupational and industrial safety from the Research Center for Industrial and Occupational Safety (Moscow), “Business Partner of Occupational Safety and Health” Company (Tomsk) and others have been invited as speakers at the conference.
Nikolay Babin, the Deputy of the Tyumen Regional Duma will speak at the conference as a special guest. At the end of the event there will be held a public talk under the theme of working in the conditions of the Arctic Region with the participation of Vladimir Chukov (a polar explorer, a member of the Russian Geographical Society) as well as representatives from the companies, which implement projects in the Arctic Region.
The conference participants will be able to participate in the workshop on industrial safety, to visit Alexander Romanov's photo exhibition entitled ‘Tazovsky Peninsula, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District’, learn about new personal protective equipment at the specialized exhibition, as well as to see how techniques and skills of working at height are built at the training ground.
