The success of the German companies in the Tyumen Region is a self-explanatory example. The region’s positive experience of cooperation, a certain level of trust have become the basis for further partnership, as Alexander Moor stated at the meeting with the delegation of Russian-German Chamber of Commerce, headed by Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ekaterinburg, Matthias Kruse. The meeting was held in the building of the region’s Government on December 4.
Alexander Moor stressed: “The Tyumen Region is concerned that the foreign companies do not only sell their products and provide services on the regional market, but also build new production facilities, educational and research centres, and introduce advanced technologies here”. He also told the delegation about the measures of financial, tax and administrative support for businesses, including foreign ones, implemented in the region.
The production facilities invested by Germany are already being successfully operated in the Tyumen Region, including Bentec driller producing enterprise and Knauf company, which produces insulation and other materials.
“In Germany, the Tyumen Region is known as one of the production centres of Russia,” said Matthias Kruse. The Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany has thanked Alexander Moor and the Government for the region’s business environment, which is favourable and comfortable for foreign companies.
The delegation included representatives of several companies, operating in different fields, such as construction, design, engineering, electrical engineering, water treatment, production of heat generators and industrial electric heaters.
Governor Alexander Moor told the German delegation about the annual oil and gas forum held in Tyumen and invited them to participate in it in 2020.
Germany is among the top ten major foreign trade partners of the Tyumen Region. Imports to the region include various industrial machinery, while oil products, polymers, and wood products are exported. At the end of the first half of 2019, exports to Germany almost tripled compared to the previous year.
During the first 9 months of 2019, the region turnover amounted to $419.5 million, including $109.7 million for exports and $309.8 million for imports.
