One of the promising areas for Russian economy growth is development of export. When it comes to introducing the regional export standard 2.0, Tyumen Region leads not only in the Urals Federal District, but across Russia overall in executing the federal program. The information was reported by Oleg Radionov, head of regional programs coordination project at the Russian Export Center JSC, during the meeting of the Export Council.
The support of export-oriented companies, creation of favorable conditions and new opportunities for development of foreign trade are top priority work directions for the regional government.
“We will not be able to create favorable conditions and capabilities for development of export activities in Tyumen Region without active participation and cohesive work of government bodies, support infrastructure, public organizations, the business community, educational establishments and entrepreneurs themselves,” said Governor Alexander Moor of Tyumen Region.
Tyumen Region has been implementing the “Systemic Measures for Development of International Cooperation and Export” regional project. One of the project indicators is the introduction of the regional export standard 2.0. It consists of 15 tools, which encompass a set of measures used to promote more active export activities in the region. So far Tyumen Region has implemented 89.1% of the export standard, having introduced 11 of 15 tools. “Successful implementation of all 15 tools will help create a successful infrastructure for export support, and therefore, lead to an increase in the number of exporters and the volume of export products,” Deputy Governor Andrey Panteleev said.
