The Industrial Production Index of Tyumen Region in January-June 2021 has grown by 10.6% versus the same period last year. These are the preliminary reports of state statistics bodies.
Growth of the industrial production is mostly driven by the development of processing industry – 122.4%. With this indicator Tyumen Region ranks sixth among all constituent regions of Russia.
The highest growth rates were recorded in production of chemicals and chemical products – 172.7% versus January-June 2020, as well as medicines and materials used for medical purposes (177.0%), furniture (154.8%), paper and paper products (143.1%), electrical equipment (131.8%), repair and installation of machinery and equipment (129.2%), rubber and plastic products (124.2%), wood processing and making of wood products (112.7%), metallurgical production (106.7%), production of other non-metal mineral products (105.7%).
Tyumen Region ranks 25th in overall industrial production growth among the Russian regions.
