We present to your attention the Yarkovskiy municipal district. Our area is interesting with its history, rich with resources and beautiful with its nature. The area has very good ecology, pure water and beautiful air.
But people are the main treasure of the area. The region is full of renowned and honourable people. These are six Heroes of the Soviet Union: A.N. Volkhov, I.N. Utkin, A. Kaliev, P.A. Mitroshin, F.P. Purtov, Kh. Neatbakov. Three Full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory: B.K. Tanygin, V.A. Kazantsev, V.P. Nalobin.
Grade of “Hero of Russia” displayed during international conflict December 30, 1999 was awarded to V.A. Rostovschikov for courage and heroism.
807 people have been awarded with orders and medals for battle and labor merits.
Federal routes Tyumen – Khanty-Mansyisk, regional road Shadrinsk – Yarkovo –Yalutorovsk, railway Tyumen – Tobolsk – Surgut – Korotchaevo (station Ust-Tavda) are going through the area territory. The Tobol and the Tura navigable rivers (six months of navigation) run here as well.
The area is close to the regional center – Tyumen city (111 km) and to Tobolsk city (142 km).
The number of actually registered in the area population as of January 1, 2018 is 23,268 people or 99,8% vs level of the same period of last year.
13 administrative rural villages counting 73 settlements connected with the center of the district with automobile roads with more than 400 km length locate on the territory of Yarkovskiy municipal area by 1 January 2018.

Flag of Yarkovskiy municipal area represents: Square cloth with 2:3 width-to-length ratio consisting of four horizontal stripes from top downward: red, white, green and red matching up from top downward as 6:1:1:2; yellow bear is in the center of top red stripe coming to the flagpole over white stripe. The reverse side of the cloth reproduces the front in mirrorlike.
